Parks and outdoor spaces
A list of parks and outdoor spaces in Doncaster, each with their own things to see and do and how to report a problem.
Please respect the park – take your litter home with you or use the bins provided, and pick up waste after your dog.
Our Green Flag Award Winners
We are incredibly proud of the fact that eight of our parks in Doncaster currently boast Green Flag status. An international mark of quality, this recognition is bestowed only to the cleanest, safest, best-maintained and all-round most welcoming outdoor spaces, as determined by leading environmental charity, Keep Britain Tidy.
A total of eight parks run by City of Doncaster Council have earned Green Flag Awards status in 2025/26. These are:
- Bentley Park
 - Campsall Country Park
 - Cusworth Hall Park
 - Elmfield Park
 - Hexthorpe Park
 - Sandall Park
 - Town Field
 - Quarry Park

Types of Parks
Our parks are categorised into two types depending on what you can see and do there:
- Major parks and outdoor space
 - Local parks and outdoor spaces

Major parks and outdoor spaces
Whether you live in Doncaster, or are simply visiting for the day, the borough's major parks and outdoor spaces have a wide range of things to see and do including:
- places to play like toddler and junior play areas and playing fields
 - sports facilities including tennis courts, sports pitches, multi-use games areas and bowling greens
 - places to enjoy a sit and a bite to eat, from cafés to picnic areas
 - wide open spaces and beautiful scenery to enjoy on various walking routes and nature walks

All of Doncaster's open spaces are covered by Public Spaces Protection Orders, this may affect how you exercise your dog. Detailed information is available at the PSPO webpage
If you are planning to conduct any volunteer tasks or activities within council managed parks and green spaces please see our web page on the link below.
