Aspergers Youth Club (AYC)

Here at the Aspergers Youth Club (AYC) we provide a safe, non-judgemental and fun environment for children and young people aged 8 years and over with Aspergers or High Functioning ASD in the Doncaster area. We meet every Wednesday during term time at Intake and Belle Vue Children's Centre.

Please email us before to say that you are interested in attending the group. All parent / carers must stay with their child no matter how old they are.


Are you the parent of a child or are you a young person with a physical disability, special educational need or an Autism Spectrum Disorder? Do you love dance or just want to give something different a go? If so, we have the class for you!

"Disability is not Inability"

Created and run by me - Emma, an instructor with a degree in dance, years of experience in support and a passion to make a difference to children and young people's lives.

I am fully insured and have a full DBS check.

I would love for you to join me and all the other children and young people across South Yorkshire who attend my classes. We welcome any enquiries and have a supportive and caring team.

Coffee Morning Playgroup

Balby South Community Engagement Society have set up a new Coffee Morning Playgroup for children with learning difficulties. Bring your children along to enjoy lots of fun activities and toys. The playgroup is suitable from birth – 15 years.

  • Date: Second Saturday of each month
  • Time: 10am - 12pm

DCLT - Hatfield Saturday Club (term time only)

Parents and carers will need to rebook for each new half-term period.

Young people will take part in a range of activities each week. The activities will be split in two parts each week, with one taking place on the water including raft building, canoeing, boating, and treasure hunt. The second one will be on land including climbing, low ropes, team building, and archery. If the weather is bad, then archery and team building activities will take place inside. Each week, children need to bring spare clothes.

Doncaster Deaf Children's Society

Doncaster Deaf Children's Society is a local group, providing support for parents of Deaf children in Doncaster, as well as arranging social gatherings for parents and Deaf children. It is run by parents and carers of deaf children, working together with local health and educational professionals.

We usually meet in the first weekend of every month but our website is updated with all of our events.

Doncaster Titans Ability Counts FC (Disability Football Club)

Doncaster Titans Ability FC  aim to provide access to football for either male or female adult & junior players with any disability, learning or physical by offering regular coaching sessions in a fun safe environment. We offer skill sessions for any beginners wanting to learn to play football and for those who want to participate in tournaments and games with other disability football clubs locally and nationwide.

Human Assist Training and Support Ltd - Katt's Groups

Monthly group for children aged 0-5years with a disability/SEN or on the pathways.

Lots of fun to be had in a non-judgemental environment. Children can enjoy toys, paint and messy play. We offer fun, interaction and a relaxed environment for little ones and parents. 

  • Dates: Monday 26th April, 17th May, 21st June, 12th July
  • Time: 10am - 12pm
  • Location: St Peters Church Hall, Bentley, Doncaster
  • Cost: £4.50 per child

J&D Activities - After School Clubs

Monday - 4.15pm - 6.15pm
Wheatley Park Community Centre, Parkway South, Wheatley, DN2 4JS

We will be offering up to 12 young people aged between 6 - 11 years an opportunity to participate in fun activities whilst being in a friendly and safe environment. 
Learn new skills in cooking, baking, life skills and socialising skills also supporting in designing their own arts/crafts projects, gardening projects, support with homework if required. Outdoor sports (football, cricket, basketball, kurling, bowling, boccia). Indoor activities (giant Jenga, big Lego bricks, pool, table tennis, art & crafts, music and dance).

£3 entry, includes tea. We also have a tuck shop so young people can purchase sweets and pop.

Thursday - 4pm - 7pm
Wheatley Park Community Centre, Parkway South, Wheatley, DN2 4JS

We will be offering up to 12 young people aged between 12 -19 years an opportunity to participate in fun activities whilst being in a friendly and safe environment. 
Learn new skills in cooking, baking, life skills and socialising skills also supporting in designing their own arts/crafts projects, gardening/allotment projects, intergenerational work with the elderly, offering the young people the opportunity to volunteer which will give them valued experience in preparation for transition to adulthood. Support with homework if required. Outdoor sports (football, cricket, basketball, kurling, bowling, boccia). Indoor activities (giant Jenga, big Lego bricks, pool, table tennis, art & crafts, music and dance).

£5 entry, includes tea. We also have a tuck shop so young people can purchase sweets and pop.

Please note - these sessions are for children and young people who have been diagnosed with SEN/disabilities.

LADDER Group - Learning about Disability, Differences, Equalities and Rights

We are a group of young people aged under 25yrs with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and long term health conditions, passionate about making a difference and getting our voices heard.

We need you to join us and be the voice of under 25yrs with:

  • Autism
  • Learning impairment
  • Mental health issues
  • Physical disabilities
  • Sensory impairment
  • and any long term health condition 
We work with Young Healthwatch and Doncaster Youth Council this gives the group a louder voice when talking to / working with Education, Health, Social Care and Transport services.

This is the Social Arm of The LADDER Group in partnership with DPVoice and DICE Doncaster.

Monthly sessions include

  • Games
  • Music 
  • Dancing

Little Rainbows Autism Group

Little Rainbows is a local parent-led group for families of young children with autism and their siblings. It provides a safe environment for children to play while parents and carers can meet and chat. Two 'play sessions' are available in Doncaster, please contact us for details.

MAX Card - Discounts for Activities

The Max Card is the UK’s leading discount card for foster families and families of children with additional needs. Families can use their Max Card at venues across the UK to get free or discounted admission.

PHIG (Pre-School Hearing Impaired Group) - FREE Session at Wheatley Family Hub

  • This is a planned session that runs at Wheatley Family Hub every 2 weeks on a Thursday for Deaf Pre- School children.
  • This is a FREE Service which is run by a Teacher of the Deaf (Early Years Specialist), Deaf Instructor, Speech and Language Therapist (NHS).
  • The session involves activities, signing, singing and gives parents the chance to have a chat with each other.

SEND Youth Club Bentley - LDD Groups

The SEND youth clubs offers a weekly group supporting young people to engage in various weekly programs including sports, arts and crafts and independent living skills.

All of the sessions are FREE at the point of entry

Sensory Rooms - Family Hubs

Some of the Family Hubs have sensory rooms which can be used free of charge. 

Sensory Zone - Meadowhall 

This sensory zone is located in the Meadowhall's Quiet Room at the Management Suite, situated at the back of The Oasis Dining Quarter near Pizza Hut Express and KFC.

Short Break Holiday Activities

Short Breaks produces an activities timetable for February and October Half Term and Summer Holidays to offer extra support to parents and carers.

The timetable includes a variety of activities such as arts and crafts and sports sessions as well as family activities such as ice skating.

The timetable is sent out to all families who are registered with TIE and on our Local Offer Facbook page - If you are a member of the Together Information Exchange register you will receive the timetable to your email address where available.

TIE Card - Discounts for Activities

Together Information Exchange (TIE) is a voluntary register of children and young people 0-19 with disabilities in Doncaster. By getting a TIE membership card you automatically receive discounts at various places in and around Doncaster. These include the Yorkshire Wildlife Park, The Dome, Vue Cinema and much more.

Access Able

AccessAble is an Accessibility Guide which provides information and details to check if a place is going to be accessible. There is information on venues across Doncaster and the UK, including shops, pubs, restaurants, cinemas, theatres, railway stations, hotels, colleges, universities, hospitals and more. You can download their free App to use AccessAble on the go.
