Find out how to register a birth, request copies of certificates, tell us once about bereavement and find out about marriages.
Birth registration appointments have been suspended until the end of May. However, customers can now make a claim for child benefit or universal credit prior to the birth being registered, where they have not previously been able to do so because of these measures.
The council is not currently taking any new marriage or civil partnership bookings and any weddings due to take place over the next few weeks are cancelled due to the current situation.
We are not making face to face appointments to register a death but are able to register a death over the phone.
We have asked Funeral Directors to consider the safety of mourners at funerals and restricted attendance to 10 close family and friends. It is very important for people attending funerals to keep to the government social distance recommendations of at least 2 meters from each other. We have put in place cleaning between funerals to help minimise the risk of infection between people attending funerals.
We know these changes can be very difficult and thank you for your understanding in order to keep everyone safe. To speak to us, please either email Registrars@doncaster.gov.uk or call 01302 735222.
