While the requirement to licence has now ended, valid licenses are still operative and must be complied with.

Memorial (Headstone) Safety Inspections

Each headstone will be inspected to make sure it is not at risk of falling over and injuring someone. The council has to ensure that all grave memorials are of an approved type and are erected in a safe and satisfactory manner by authorised and experienced companies. We carry out these checks as part of a legal requirement under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.

Request a Street Lighting Column Move

However this is only possible if the move does not effect the street lighting levels of the street or another resident. Relocation costs would also have to be funded by the resident. Typically these costs start at around £1500 depending on the location , height of column and any additional requirements such as traffic management.
