What's New and customer feedback (Private Rented Housing).

Listed below are the most recent updates and changes to our Private rented housing web pages. Where possible, we have responded to feedback from the general public and some of the updates you will see are in response to this. • 07/09/2023 - Government published new Guidance on understanding and addressing the health risks for rented housing providers
• 15/03/2023 - New online licence application system launched for Selective Licensing and Houses in Multiple Occupation (New and Renewal applications). The new process has streamlined the previous process and also introduced a 2 part licence fee (Application and Grant) negating the need for applicants to pay the full amount due until a decision has been made to grant the licence. • 01/03/2023 - Hexthorpe Selective Licensing – Landlord self declarations and annual gas safety certificates due for submission. Landlord Licensing - City of Doncaster Council
• 01/10/2022 - Carbon Monoxide detector requirements in Private Rented accommodation – From 1^st Oct 2022: Ensure a carbon monoxide alarm is equipped in any room used as living accommodation which contains a fixed combustion appliance (excluding gas cookers). Ensure smoke alarms and carbon monoxide alarms are repaired or replaced once informed and found that they are faulty. • New online facility for reporting repairs in private rented accommodation where tenants have been unable to resolve the complaint with their landlord. 
• Help us tackle fly-tipping with the New waste management guidance for the private rented sector
• Customer feedback facility available on all web pages. Feedback is now being actively used to inform content and updates.
