Doncaster Biodiversity Action Partnership has produced a Local Biodiversity Action Plan (LBAP) for the borough.
Biological diversity, or ‘biodiversity’, describes the variety of life around us from the smallest microbe to the largest tree.
Local sites represent a comprehensive suite of the Borough's locally and regionally important wildlife and geological sites. These sites are designated to acknowledge and help conserve their special features, and contribute to the wider ecological network including statutory sites (ie SSSI', SAC's and SPA's).
This page contains useful contact details for those interested in biodiversity.
Doncaster Local Records Centre (DLRC) welcomes records from all recorders and of all species, no matter how common or widespread. We need your records to be able to build a complete and up-to-date image of the state of wildlife in Doncaster Borough. This helps us monitor the state of the environment and support decision making.
Doncaster is consulting on a draft Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) on Biodiversity Net Gain. This SPD provides further guidance for developers, applicants and ecological consultants on how planning applications can satisfy the requirement for delivering Biodiversity Net Gain within Doncaster.
