A major event in the world cycling calendar, the UCI Road World Championships ran from 21-29 September 2019. Over the nine days of exhilarating racing action, the world’s elite road cyclists competed across a number of disciplines, including a range of men’s and women’s races, across age groups from junior to elite, starting in different towns and cities throughout Yorkshire and each finishing in the main competition town of Harrogate.

The event was a huge success with residents and visitors enjoying the start at the new Cycle Track near The Dome and communities lining the route to watch the competitors zoom past.
