Specialist and Outreach Teams: South Yorkshire Talking Together

South Yorkshire Talking Together is a Universal and Targeted Speech, Language and Communication (SLC) pathway for children aged 0-5.

On this page, you can find:

About the Service

Talking Together provides Universal support for children, parents and professionals through their website and Facebook page

Bookable advice sessions are available through local Family Hubs for parents to access if they have any concerns about their child’s Speech, Language and Communication (SLC) skills.

Professionals can access training through BuyDoncaster and the Speech and Language Therapist regularly attends SENDCO network meetings and Essential Knowledge Briefings to share key messages.

Children who need a little bit of extra support with their SLC development, but who do not require a referral to the specialist NHS Speech and Language Therapy service, can be referred to Talking Together for targeted support.

Sessions are carried out either in the child’s home or the local Family Hub depending on the child’s support needs. Information on who can be referred, and how to do so, can be found on their website.

If you have any queries, or would like to find out if South Yorkshire Talking Together can help you, your child or a child in your care, please contact SYTTDoncaster@doncaster.gov.uk
