Unfortunately it is not possible to report missed Commercial Waste (businesses and educational establishments) collections via the website at this time.  Please telephone Customer Services on 01302 736000.

What we need from you

All missed Waste & Recycling bins & boxes (containers) must be reported to us within 48 hours of the scheduled collection day. Please do not report a missed collection if:

  • you did not put your container out for collection before 7:00am on your scheduled collection day
  • your container contained unacceptable items or was too heavy
  • your container has been issued with a contamination tag, please remove the unacceptable items before your next collection
  • access to the container was not possible.

Should any of the above issues be identified by the collection operatives at the time of collection you will be unable to request a return visit.

When you report your missed collection you will be asked to give your name, address, telephone number, type of container.

You should make sure you read and understand the Waste and Recycling - privacy notice, which sets out what you need to know about how we will use your information in the course of our work as a Waste Collection Authority.

What you should expect from us

When you report a missed collection before 12:00pm (Tuesday - Friday), a return visit should be made by 7:00pm the same working day. If you report a missed collection after 12:00pm, it will normally be collected the following working day, however, there may be occasions that a return visit may take place over the weekend.

Please ensure your container is left at your normal collection point until a return visit has been made.

Once you submit your request, you will be sent an email with a reference number for your case. Using this reference number you will be able to track the progress of your request, including when it should be completed by and to let us know if there is a problem.
