The day for everyone to remember the six million Jews murdered in the Holocaust, and the millions of people killed in Nazi Persecution and in subsequent genocides in Cambodia, Rwanda, Bosnia and Darfur. 27 January marks the liberation of Auschwitz-Berkenau, the largest Nazi death camp. HMD has taken place in the UK since 2001.

  On the 9 May 2023, the City of Doncaster Council made The Doncaster (City Gateway – Railway Square and Phase 1) Compulsory Purchase Order 2023 pursuant to section 226(1)(a) of the Town & Country Planning Act 1990 . The Order has been submitted to the Secretary of State for the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities (“DLUHC”). A public local Inquiry into this matter was held by Thomas Bristow at the Earl of Doncaster Hotel, Bennetthorpe, Doncaster DN2 6AD on 17 April 2024 at 10.00am.
