The Order has been submitted to the Secretary of State for the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities (“DLUHC”). A public local Inquiry into this matter was held by Thomas Bristow at the Earl of Doncaster Hotel, Bennetthorpe, Doncaster DN2 6AD on 17 April 2024 at 10.00am.

Open Access Land

The area of land where the right applies has been specifically designated. In the Borough of Doncaster this is restricted to Thorne Moors, part of Hatfield Moor and some small spots of woodland. Access land is shown on the OS Explorer map highlighted with a yellow wash and a pink border.

Where required, the Coroners Officer will open investigations including inquests ensuring appropriate documentation is completed.
