Insurance Claims

The Insurance Team provide comprehensive insurance advice, arranges/places appropriate insurance cover and handles claims for Doncaster Council and all clients that it directly supports, including LEA Schools and St Leger Homes of Doncaster.

Claims against the council

The Insurance Team manages claims against the council such as injury or damage on public highways, injury to employees, motor incidents and St Leger tenants suffering damage or injury caused by the council or St Leger Homes.

To make a claim against the council the claimant will need to prove in civil law that we have been negligent and/or breached our statutory duty.

Individuals wishing to submit a claim against the Council direct should download the Incident Report Form, available on this page, fully complete it and then submit it to the Council's Insurance Team.
