We want our workers to be the best they can be, which is why we focus on giving you manageable caseloads, regular and high-quality reflective and personal supervision, training, and the ability to work smarter with access to technology and flexible working.

Learning and development is part of our day to day work, with regular supervision and annual performance and development reviews (PDR).  We have a fantastic development offer for social workers wherever you are in your career.

We have an ASYE Academy so that Newly Qualified Social Workers get the best possible start in their career.

Our clear structured career pathway provides experienced social workers with the opportunities to progress and develop their career further.

There are further career routes into roles such as Advanced Practitioner, Independent Reviewing Officer, Child Protection Chair and Practice Development Social Worker within the service.  Alternatively, for Social Work professionals who want to move into management roles there are opportunities to develop management skills through a range of development opportunities to enable them to develop their career further.
