Superfast broadband is the next generation of broadband – providing a faster and more reliable service.
Doncaster Council is working with Barnsley, Sheffield and Rotherham Councils on a project to allow residents and businesses to access superfast broadband and connections of up to 80Mbps.
This allows users to surf the internet, download music and stream television at speeds that are massively quicker than most internet users. This will improve the lives of residents and improve opportunities for businesses across the county.
So far superfast broadband has already been made available in the following areas across Doncaster:
- Balby North
- Doncaster town centre
- Roman Ridge
- Wheatley Hills
Once your property can receive superfast broadband, you simply need to contact your internet service provider to find out about their deals and ask to upgrade.
To find out more about the project and to find out whether your property can access superfast broadband, or if it’s not currently available when it’s due to be upgraded visit the Superfast South Yorkshire website.
