Discount for person's resident under the Homes for Ukraine Scheme

If you are resident in the UK under the Homes for Ukraine sponsorship scheme you may be entitled to a 50% discount on your Council Tax.

Who is eligible

You may be entitled to receive a 50% discount from your Council Tax if the following apply:

• You are a Ukrainian national
• You are in the UK under the Homes for Ukraine Sponsorship scheme. 
• You are living in your own accommodation (e.g you are renting a property) that is not the main home of your sponsor.

How to apply

If you believe you may be eligible to this discount from your Council Tax please contact us using our Council Tax enquiry form.

In the body of your enquiry, please make sure to include the following information:

• Your full name
• Your full address
• Details of all all adults (persons aged 18 or over) resident with you at your address
• The date you moved in
• The start date of your tenancy (if applicable)

As part of your application we will check that you are resident in the UK under the Homes for Ukraine Sponsorship scheme. 

If you are entitled, a discount will be awarded on to your Council Tax account, and a revised bill sent to you.
