Services for deaf, deafened and hard of hearing adults

The Sensory Team provide services for adults with a hearing impairment.

What we provide

  • Advice, guidance and information
  • Help people to become more independent
  • Equipment/adaptations to the home
  • Social work support for individuals and families

Specialist needs assessment

The first stage will be an assessment of your needs.  If you are eligible to services because of risks to your independence and safety, you will be offered support, advice or services to assist you.

Hearing Aid Services

Hearing aids are provided by the health service.  Contact your doctor who may refer you to Hearing Rehabilitation Centre, Sandringham Surgery, Level 1, Sandringham Road, Intake, Doncaster DN2 5JH.  If you already have a Health Service hearing aid there is:-

Drop in service available for batteries only.  Repair service by appointment only: at Hearing Rehabilitation Centre, Sandringham Road.  You can access this service by voice (01302) 644950,  Textphone 07796174900 or email at dbth.hearing.rehab@nhs.net

Please ask a member of our staff for more information, or if you need any other help or advice.  They can arrange to speak to you in your own language if you need them to.
