For information regarding public highways within Doncaster and how to view the Highways Register.
Under Section 36 of the Highways Act 1980 sub section (6) and (7) the Council is obliged to keep a list of all the named streets within the borough which are adopted roads and highways. This is a term used to describe a road that is maintained by us at the public expense.
See link in 'Documents and Resources' for the list of adopted streets.
Please note that we cannot guarantee that every street will be included as the list of streets is continually being updated as new street are adopted. If you believe there are any errors or that any street is missing from the list, please contact the Highway Team via our Contact Centre on 01302 736000. Newly built streets are listed as not adopted until any formal adoption process that may be in place is completed.
Please note that we do not have a duty to maintain a list of private streets.
For any other enquiries regarding the extent of adopted highways please contact us either by Email on Network.Management@Doncaster.gov.uk or by telephone on 01302 736000.
The fee for written Highways information and a coloured extract from our our adoption plans is £68 for up to 1 hour (and £24 for any additional half hour). Your full invoice address and plan of the area in question, should be included with your enquiry which can be emailed to Network.Management@Doncaster.gov.uk, or posted to Network Management Team, Floor 4, Civic Office, Waterdale Doncaster, DN1 3BU.
