Wraparound Provision for Parents - Breakfast and After-School Clubs
Wraparound childcare is before and after-school care for primary school aged children during term time, including regular breakfast club and after-school club provision, until 5.30pm or later.
This childcare should be available every school day outside of regular school hours and is aimed at helping parents access more working hours or help them to work flexibly. This is different from out-of-school activities, or school clubs, which are less frequent and can be a one-off activity.
Private, voluntary, and independent providers, including childminders and early years settings, are also offer wraparound childcare as well as schools. Wraparound can be offered from the school site or from another setting in the local area.
