Entitlement to free transport
The Council no longer provides free travel assistance in most instances for Post 16 students entering into further education for the first time or undertaking new courses. Further information is available from the Pupil Support and Passenger Transport Team on:

Concessionary fare pass
Pupils who live in South Yorkshire, who are under the age of 18 years (on the first day of the academic year - 1 September) can obtain a concessionary fare pass by contacting South Yorkshire Passenger Transport Executive, via:

Safety and behaviour on school transport
A Code of Practice for safety and behaviour on school transport other than that specifically arranged for a child with Special Educational Needs has been adopted by Doncaster Council in conjunction with the three other South Yorkshire Authorities, the South Yorkshire Passenger Transport Executive and the Bus Operators Association (BOSSY).
