Doncaster smoke free homes is a resource that has been produced through partnership work involving Doncaster Council's SaFE Team, the Primary Care Trust and Doncaster Healthy Schools Programme.

Our aim is to support schools in promoting the benefits of a smoke free environment for the whole school community and so contribute towards making Doncaster smoke free. In particular the pack promotes the benefits gained from living in a smoke free home.

The resource has been developed with Year 5 in mind and designed to provide pupils with the knowledge and skills to develop and maintain a smoke free lifestyle for themselves, their friends and family.

The package consists of a PowerPoint presentation delivered to pupils by the SaFE Team and classroom based pupil activities that support topics relating to tobacco education during PSHE lessons or alternatively the National Curriculum for Science within the National Curriculum for Science and the non-statutory framework for PSHCE at Key Stage 2.

The partnership feel this free resource is invaluable to Schools in their aim to be proactive in providing information and support surrounding the issues relating to tobacco.
