Woodland Rangers
The council's woodland rangers manage countryside sites for everyone to enjoy
Rangers work within the Countryside Team based at Sandall Beat Community Environment Centre and carry out practical conservation work and environmental activities, often with volunteer groups and schools.
The Rangers regularly patrol all of our countryside sites. These patrols help them to monitor any maintenance problems and promote an effective and efficient response to issues.
Patrolling also gives the rangers the opportunity to keep a protective eye on our local wildlife. Being aware of what is present and where it is located helps us to protect it.
