What is this for?

To renew the loan period of something you've borrowed from your local library, such as a book, CD or DVD.

What is it going to cost?

The renewal of books is free.

The renewal of CDs, DVDs or Spoken Word incurs a fee which will be the same as the loan charge made when the item was borrowed. This charge will be added to your membership record.

What we need from you

Aside from already being a member of the library, a Personal Identification Number (PIN) will be required to use this service. If you do not have a PIN, please request one in person at your nearest library or alternatively send us an email confirming your library card number, postcode and date of birth along with a 4 digit pin of your choice and we will set it up for you.

What you should expect from us

You can renew an item on loan to you for a further loan period, up to a maximum of 6 times after which it must be brought in to a library so that it can be discharged. It can then be reissued to you.

If someone else has requested the item you will be asked to return it usually within 3 days.

When you select 'DO IT NOW' below, you will be taken to our libraries website.
