Landlords have a legal obligation to make sure that the risk posed by fire is managed and that safety measures are in place to reduce the risk. Council officers carrying out risk based inspections under the HHSRS must consider fire safety as part of the overall assessment of property standards and you will be expected to do all that is reasonable in the interests of safety. Memorial (Headstone) Safety Inspections

Memorial Safety Inspections are taking place. Each headstone will be inspected to make sure it is not at risk of falling over and injuring someone. The council has to ensure that all grave memorials are of an approved type and are erected in a safe and satisfactory manner by authorised and experienced companies. We carry out these checks as part of a legal requirement under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.
Bowling Greens

As from 5 June 2017 the management and maintenance of all Doncaster Council's bowling greens transferred to the Doncaster & District Bowling Association (DDBA). This has enabled a partnership agreement whereby the Council sponsor the DDBA for each green to commission these services.

The Primary Ambassadors are children in year 5 in local primary schools who are not just role models for their schools but for children across Doncaster. Their role is to champion children's voice and work on issues important to children in Doncaster. They attend meetings, high profile events and work on campaigns set out by our Junior Make Your Mark Campaign. They are selected through the Junior Civic Mayor process and the 10 shortlisted for the role have the chance to be a Primary Ambassador!
