Public Urged to Share Information About A19 Speed Camera Vandalisation
We are asking the public to come forward with information after a pair of average speed check cameras were vandalised along the A19, in Bentley and Toll Bar, having only been installed a couple of days prior.

Part of a broader scheme of works being carried out to improve safety on this particular carriageway, the equipment was put in place to help reduce the number of serious accidents and fatalities that occur in one of Doncaster’s worst collision hotspots, where some people continue to drive dangerously fast. With that said, the senseless criminal damage that took place here only serves to undermine public safety and put lives at risk.
Rest assured we are working closely with South Yorkshire Police to identify the culprits responsible. If you have seen or heard anything that could assist us in this matter, we urge you to please call 101 or contact Crimstoppers anonymously by ringing 0800 555 111. As always, you can also visit the dedicated Report It page on the Your Life Doncaster website to share information or let us know about any issues you encounter: https://www.yourlifedoncaster.co.uk/safer-city-how-to-report-issues
Keeping our roads safe is a top priority for the council, and we will continue doing everything we can to achieve this. We ask that you please help us by always driving safely, adhering to speed limits and observing the rules of the road. Together, we can protect those who live, work and travel through all our communities.
