Celebrating 2000 years of Black History in Doncaster

October is Black History Month and Danum Gallery, Library and Museum (DGLAM) is hosting an exhibition celebrating 2000 years of Black History in Doncaster which will be open throughout the month.

The exhibition shares the stories of Black History in Doncaster – including the stories of the Windrush generation, Black miners and activists and creatives.

In addition to the exhibition, visitors will also find a display in the Children’s Library celebrating important Black historical figures, alongside a range of books that celebrate representation and racial diversity.
