What Ofsted does

Ofsted inspects and regulates to achieve excellence in the care of children and young people, and in education and skills for learners of all ages.

The new Ofsted brings together the wide experience of four inspectorates to make a greater difference for every child, and for all young people and adult learners, in England.

Inspections and regulatory visits

Doncaster Council is making some positive headway in how it supports schools to improve education in the borough. The following Ofsted report published 30 May 2014 points to many positives in how the local authority supports schools however there is still much more to do to make the improvements needed.
