Stretching a child's entitlement - up to the 31st August 2018
The following stretched offer will be implemented from the 1st September 2018 for the provision of Free Entitlement Places.
- All providers will make available to parents the option of taking their funded hours over 38 weeks (term time)
- Providers who decide to make available a stretched offer to the parents can choose one, all or a combination of the following options:
- 51 weeks
- 50 weeks
- 47.5 weeks
- 45 weeks - The cap on the number of funded hours per term / funding period will be removed
- The maximum hours a child can access is:

Claiming the funded entitlement
Providers are required to claim the funded entitlement in total termly (225 for the autumn term) hours. This should be done using the headcount portal guide listed in the forms and administration section below.
The Head Count date for the autumn term is Thursday 4th October 2018. Information to be submitted via the Headcount Portal from Friday 28th September to Thursday 4th October 2018.
