A twitter account for the Neighbourhood Plan has now been set up with the name @BawtryNP and a dedicated Neighbourhood Plan website.

Regulation 16 Publication of Bawtry Neighbourhood Development Plan

Following the completion of Regulation 14 pre-submission consultation and publicity on their Neighbourhood Plan, Bawtry Town Council have submitted the following documents to the Local Planning Authority, for examination under Part 5 of the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012 (as amended).

TheBawtry Neighbourhood Development Plan and associated documents can also be inspected below or at the reception of the Civic Office,Waterdale,Doncaster, DN1 3BU during normal opening hours. Representations should be received by 5pm 11 January 2019.

Representations on the Plan may include a request to be notified of the Local Planning Authority's decision under regulation 19 of the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012 on the plan proposal (whether to make or to refuse to make the Neighbourhood Development Plan).

It is the responsibility of the Doncaster Council to collate all the representations made and pass these on to the independent examiner, who will examine the plan documents and assess whether the plan is in line with legislation and can therefore proceed to a referendum. An examiner will be appointed to undertake the examination shortly.

Screening Opinion

Bawtry Town Council submitted a screening request to the Local Planning Authority to establish whether a Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) was required. The screening opinion and the responses received to date confirm that a SEA is not required.

Regulation 14 Pre-submission consultation and publicity

Bawtry Town Council published their draft Neighbourhood Plan for a six-week consultation period. The Plan is available to view on the Bawtry Town Council website.

The deadline was 21 May 2018, which has now closed.

Exhibition

A public exhibition showing a first draft of the plan was held at Bawtry Methodist Church Hall on Wednesday December 13 2016.

Designation of the Neighbourhood Area for the Bawtry Neighbourhood Plan

The Bawtry Neighbourhood Plan area has been designated and covers the whole of the parish of Bawtry.

Designation means that the parish council have approval to progress a plan for the designated area and no other parish/town council or Neighbourhood Forum can complete a Neighbourhood Plan for the area.

Application for the designation of the Neighbourhood Area for the Bawtry Neighbourhood Plan

An application was received from Bawtry Town Council for the designation of a Neighbourhood Area. This was in accordance with Part 2, Regulation 5 of the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012. On 20 September 2016 the Council confirmed the Neighbourhood Area was designated. Designation means that the Town Council have approval to progress a plan for the designated area and no other Town/Parish Council or Neighbourhood Forum can complete a Neighbourhood Plan for the area.
