Latest Public Health Annual Report

The 2024 Director of Public Health (DPH) Annual Report focuses on the wider determinants of health (social, economic, and environmental conditions) and how growing research capability and capacity will help us to respond to the wider determinants of health more effectively in Doncaster. Doncaster’s new Health and Wellbeing strategy identifies three areas of focus - improving the experience of ageing, closing the women and children’s health and wellbeing gap and, creating healthy places to live grow and play. Research approaches will support each of these priorities, particularly ambitions for creating healthy places.

Again, an annual summary of how the public health grant is allocated is again presented, along with a summary of how research enables deeper insight into the impact of the wider determinants of health and provides support to test and learn from actions to narrow health inequalities.
