Level 2 Award in Underage Sales Prevention

This training course offers the nationally accredited qualification ideal for anyone working in a licensed premises or a retail environment selling age-restricted products such as alcohol, knives, aerosols, fireworks, lottery tickets, cigarettes, and tobacco products.

Course Content Subjects covered include:

  • Current minimum age limits for the purchase (and sale) of age-restricted products
  • Current legislation and the penalties for the unlawful sale of these products.
  • How to refuse a sale and deal with conflict

Duration The course takes approximately 4 hours to complete, including refreshment breaks and the exam.

It concludes with a 15-question multiple-choice examination. Candidates can have up to 30 minutes to complete the assessment and must achieve a score of at least 10 in order to pass. The test can be conducted orally for anyone who has reading difficulties, provided we are notified at least 2 weeks in advance of the course date.

Qualification All successful candidates will receive the nationally recognised Level 2 Award in Underage Sales Prevention

Groups - To make the training more convenient and cost effective, this qualification can be delivered to groups of people at your own venue, with dates and times to suit you and tailored to your particular staff training needs. Please contact us for further details.

Cost  Individual places on one of our programmed courses cost £47 per delegate (or £49 if the delegate is attending under the Fixed Penalty Notice (FPN) Waiver scheme).
