  • The I Care…Ambassadors service promotes a first-hand, current picture, of what it's like to work in the adult social care sector.
  • It provides the opportunity for them to ask questions and check their understanding of the different roles in social care.
  • It offers valuable and up to date information that will help them to make informed career decisions.
  • It provides them with a direct link to some local employers
  • It supports them in deciding whether they would like to work for an organisation like yours!

How will this help people who use social care services?

  • They will have continuity of support by people who have the right values and skills to provide high quality care

How does it work in Doncaster?

  • The service is run as a partnership of local social care employers, local colleges and employment support providers (Job Centre Plus).
  • This is a free service and primarily operates by employers donating staff time to operate as I…Care Ambassadors.
  • You don’t have to join the partnership to benefit from the service but meetings can be a useful way of finding out what activities the service are involved in developing your networks, sharing good practice and shaping the service itself.
