To ensure the safe delivery of your personal documents, we highly recommend that the 1st class recorded delivery service is selected.
Doncaster Register Office will not accept responsibility for your personal documents being lost/undelivered if you chose an unrecorded delivery method.
Please note that if you chose 2nd class unrecorded, any certificates lost in transit will not be replaced and would need to be purchased again.
We also cannot advise on how quickly a certificate will be received when 2nd class unrecorded is selected - it could be several weeks.
Selecting 1st class recorded post gives greater assurance that a certificate would be received a couple of days after being dispatched.
