Cusworth Hall is a beautiful grade 1 listed building set in acres of historic parkland with lakes, plantations and pleasure ground with dramatic views across the town

Cusworth Hall has been described as the jewel in Doncaster’s crown. The beautiful grade 1 listed building is set in acres of historic parkland with lakes, plantations and grounds with dramatic views across the town.

The site which was extensively restored between 2003-2007 invites visitors to experience a wealth of architecture, heritage, landscape history, wildlife and exhibitions, events and activities. There is also an excellent tea room and shop, everything you need for a memorable day out.

Opening times

  • Monday to Wednesday- 10am to 4:30pm
  • Saturday and Sunday- 10:30am to 4:15pm
  • Thursday and Friday- closed

Please note that Cusworth Hall will be closed on the 21st September to allow for staff training.

Annual parking permits (£50) are available from Cusworth Hall. For regular visitors and dog walkers this represents a significant saving.

Access

The museum has full disabled access throughout. Level access available to the hall and much of the park. There is an induction loop system in reception. Disabled parking and drop off is available outside the hall.

Group visits

Group visits are welcome. Organisers should notify us of any intended visits.

Educational activities

Educational study areas are available for school parties. For further details please ask for the education officer on 01302 782342.

Cusworth Hall, Museum and Park is located two miles north of Doncaster, off the A638 Doncaster to Wakefield Road. It is signposted from the A1 and A638.

Volunteering

Sessions take place on alternate Tuesdays and Thursdays. They include a range of conservation, restoration and habitat management projects. Suitable footwear and clothing recommended. All training and protective equipment will be provided.
