Recruitment continues at Doncaster Sheffield Airport
The recruitment drive for key staff to help reopen Doncaster Sheffield Airport continues this week with air traffic controller posts being advertised.
Qualified and experienced air traffic controllers are being sought to help prepare for the start of operational flights from the airport next year – starting with freight flights.
The roles, with salaries from £55,000 - £65,000 are being advertised on City of Doncaster Council’s website and set out the required qualifications and experience needed.
The closing date for applications is November 2 and recruitment will take place shortly after that date with expected start date in early 2026.
Christian Foster, Director of South Yorkshire Airport City, the programme set up to reopen the airport, said: “These roles come hot on the heels of the three heads of service posts that we advertised last month.
“We are pressing ahead at pace in recruiting vital roles to help the airport reopen as soon as possible. Obviously having skilled air traffic controllers is a key part of the airport operating functions so we are searching for people who have the required level of expertise, qualifications and experience to come to work for Fly Doncaster.”
Other roles within Air Traffic Services at DSA will be advertised in the coming months.
