Help and support for residents seeking employment

A new online employment hub has now launched in Doncaster which provides a single access point for anyone who is looking for employment, a change of career, to develop their skills or to become self-employed.

The hub can be accessed on

Ros Jones, Mayor of Doncaster, said: “This year has been challenging for all of us, especially for business owners, and their employees, up and down the country due to the pandemic and subsequent loss of income.

“This new employment hub is a vitally important support service which can help anyone who may be out of work and needs to find a job, or is at risk of redundancy. It is also there to assist residents with training opportunities, apprenticeships, self-employment and business start-ups. Advisors are on hand who can help people on the next steps of their career journey. If you need support in finding employment then I urge you to get in touch.”

The employment hub also includes a telephone number, 01302 735554, as another point of access and will signpost people to the relevant support and opportunities. The opening hours for telephone calls on 01302 735554 are between 10am and 1pm weekdays.

Residents aged 16-18 and in employment, education or training should speak to their school, college or training providers’ careers advisor for support in their next steps or create a Start account at the employment hub to explore their options in Doncaster using the following link:

Local businesses can also get involved with the employment hub and sign the Doncaster Promise to support their workforce’s development at the following link:
