Jon receives his special award from Mayor Martin Winter
Mayor Martin Winter has presented Jon Hall with a Special Discover the Spirit Award in recognition of his Bronze medal achievement as part of the Wheelchair Basketball Men’s Team at the Beijing 2008 Paralympics, during a special Mayoral reception at Mansion House.
Mayor Martin Winter said: "Jon deserves the utmost recognition for a real achievement during his paralympic debut. I am proud of Jon's success in bringing home a bronze medal, having chalked up 37 points as his contribution to a great team effort throughout the tournament.
"Jon is an incredible role model only too happy to play his part in inspiring possible future Olympians and budding athletes from Doncaster."
