The Doncaster Discover the Spirit Awards celebrate the people who contribute so much to our communities, demonstrating the very essence of the Doncaster ‘spirit’.

There are some great prizes to be won and we are inviting nominations for five award categories.  Anyone can nominate a person for an award and the process is quick and easy. You can find out more about the award categories and access the nomination form using the links on this page.

The finalists for each award will be invited with a guest to attend an Awards Ceremony at the Mansion House on Thursday 13 November 2008. All winners will be announced on the night and awarded Doncaster Discover the Spirit trophies by Doncaster's Mayor Martin Winter and special guest speaker Gervase Phinn.

This year’s Discover the Spirit Awards are sponsored by Doncaster New Deal for Communities, a programme helping to regenerate areas of Balby Bridge, Balby Woodfield, Hyde Park, Hexthorpe and Nether Hall.
