How to Download Files from SIDS Support

To use the reports they first need to be downloaded and then imported into SIMS.net. Reports these can be imported into SIMS.net from any work station as long as the user has the necessary privileges to do so.

If you require any of the files provided on our SIDS support web pages then all you need to do is follow these steps:

1. Right mouse click on the file which you would like to download. Then select the 'Save as' option.

2. Once the 'Save as' window has loaded then browse to the folder where you would like the file to be saved. Click 'Save'. You may select the Desktop from here if you wish. Also ensure that 'All Files' is selected.

3. Once the file is downloaded onto your computer it will need to be imported. This is done through the route of REPORTS | IMPORT | OPEN. From here select the Rpt.Def file and click on 'Open'.

Opening the reports into SIMS.net

Log into SIMS.net in the usual way.

From the Report Menu at the top of the screen select 'Import'.

4. You can now import the file saved on the Desktop. Select this file as below then click on 'Open' then 'Import'. Click 'Open' and choose the file to import. Select the file you have downloaded from either your desktop or created folder.

Ensure all of the reports have a tick in the box against them, if you wish to import them.

Now click 'Import'.

Once imported click 'Close'.

The reports should be available to run from the reports browser.
