Level 2 Award for Personal Licence Holders

The law requires alcohol sales on licensed premises to be made or authorised by a personal licence holder. Individuals applying for a personal licence must hold a regulated licensing qualification, such as this Highfield Level 2 Award for Personal Licence Holders . This regulated qualification is ideal for anyone working in, or preparing to work in, any industry that involves the retail sale of alcohol and who wishes to become a personal licence holder.

Course Content

Subjects covered include:

  • The purpose of a personal licence,
  • The application process,
  • Legal duties of a personal licence holder
  • Current licensing law.

Duration

The course takes approximately eight hours to complete, including refreshment breaks and the exam.

The course concludes with a one-hour, 40-question multiple-choice examination. Learners must achieve a mark of at least 28 in order to pass. The test can be conducted orally for anyone who has reading difficulties, provided we are notified at least 2 weeks in advance of the course date.

Qualification

All successful candidates will receive the nationally recognised Level 2 Award for Personal Licence Holders

Groups - To make the training more convenient and cost effective, this qualification can be delivered to groups of people at a venue of your choice, (customer provides venue and refreshments) with dates and times arranged to suit you and tailored to your particular staff training needs. We charge for a minimum of six people, up to a maximum of 20 delegates per course.  Please contact us for further details.
