Registering to Vote
You can only vote in elections if your name is on the register of electors. We revise the register every autumn and an updated Register is published on 1st December each year. From 1st December each year until mid-August you can also add or re-register names.
All you have to do is fill in a voter registration form , which is attached to this page. You have to sign this form yourself, someone else cannot do it for you!
When you send us your form we will add you to our list of new applications. Any elector can then object to your name being added to the register. If this happens we will write to you.
If your application is not objected to, we will change your details within 2 to 6 weeks of receiving your form. We will write to tell you when your application is allowed.

You will need to have the form with you to register, as you will be required to enter the two part security code, printed on the front when you have completed a successful registration you can destroy the form.
Please note all the details on the form have to remain the same to register by Internet.
