- Phone the Repairs Contact Centre - 737694
We have opened a central Repairs call centre. If you have a repair problem you should now call this centre not your Area Housing Office. The Contact Centre is staffed 24 hours a day so you can call about a repair at any time. However, at night and over weekends we will still only carry out emergency repairs.
Telephone conversations with our staff may be recorded for training purposes.

You can report a repair through Housing Direct. You need to register with us first to get a password. You can do this by picking up a form from any Council office, telephoning your area office or logging on to www.doncaster.gov.uk/housingdirect.

Our service
hours are:
- Office: Monday - Friday 8.30 am - 5.00 pm.
- Repair operatives: Monday - Thursday 8.00 am - 4.00 pm
Friday
8.00 am - 3.30 pm (apart from emergencies which are carried out 24 hours
a day).

When
dealing with a request, we will:
- give you as much information as we can about what work is to be done
and when you can expect it to be done by
- respond to emergencies 24 hours a day. Outside normal office hours
we may only make the situation safe. We will complete the repair as
soon as is practicable
- observe our stated standards of service. These are set out under
CUSTOMER COMMITMENT
in your Tenants' Handbook.

Please
be aware:
- whenever someone calls at your home on behalf of Doncaster MBC they
should wear an identification card. Always ask to see it to check that
they are genuine
- we may need to inspect your repair problem to decide exactly what
needs to be done
- outside normal service hours we will only respond to emergency repairs
- if you are unable to keep an appointment, please contact the number given on your repair acknowledgement letter
- if you have exaggerated the urgency of the problem to get an emergency
response, you will be charged for the additional costs involved
- you will be charged for the cost of repairing any damage you cause,
or for any repairs that cannot be regarded as fair wear and tear or
are your responsibility
- we advise you strongly to take out household contents insurance
- if the depot cannot keep an appointment, the operative will contact you.
