Cracks or holes in ceiling or wall plaster

Which room is the problem in?
What type of problem is it: chips, cracks or patches? You are responsible for repairing hairline cracks, nail holes or other decorative defects.
What area is affected?

Ceiling bulging

Which room is the problem in?
What area is affected (approximately)?
Is there water leaking, eg: from a burst pipe, or through the roof? See HEATING·HOT WATER, PIPES·TAPS or ROOFS·CHIMNEYS. To release water, pierce a small hole in the ceiling to allow the water to flow into a bucket.

Plaster loose or crumbling

How did this happen?
Which room is the problem in?
What area is affected (approximately)?

Wall tiles loose or broken

What size and shape are they? How many are loose or broken? See BATHS·BASINS·SINKS.

Moisture or mould on walls

Which room is the problem in? Where is the problem showing? Check the drawings above.
Could it be condensation? You can take steps to prevent this. See HANDY HINTS: Dealing with Condensation.

Wall fixings broken

What type of fixing is it? You are responsible for curtain rails, coat hooks etc.

Boundary or garden wall loose or crumbling

Where is the wall? Is it shared with a next door property? Is the property owned by Doncaster Council or another owner? Give the address of the other property .
What is the problem, eg: pointing loose, coping missing or brickwork damaged? Check the drawings above.
What area is affected (approximately)?

Render cracked or loose

Where is the problem? What area is affected?

Cladding boards or hanging tiles lifting, falling off, loose or damaged

Where are the boards or tiles?
How many are affected (approximately)?
What shape and size are they?
How high up are they? Are they above an entrance or walkway?
