What is the Problem?      Check before you contact us

Fence or fencepost loose, damaged or rotten

How did this happen? You may be charged for damage.
Did you put up the fence yourself? If so, you are responsible for it.
Where is it? Is it a dividing fence with another property? Is the other property owned by Doncaster Council or another owner? This problem will be inspected and included in a programmed replacement scheme.

Gate or gatepost loose or damaged

Where is the gate?
What is the problem, eg: gate damaged or sticking, or post rotten?
What type of gate is it: wooden or metal? What height is it?
What type of post is it: wooden, concrete or metal? What height is it?

Gate catch broken or loose

Where is the gate? You are responsible for repairing gate catches, bolts etc unless it is a communal gate.

Path uneven, cracked or lifting

Did you lay it yourself? If so, you are responsible for it.
Where is the path? We are responsible for paths leading from the property boundary to doors. You are responsible for general garden paths or any other paths that you or a previous tenant have laid.
What area is affected (approximately)?
What is the path made of: paving slabs, concrete, tarmac or brick? If slabs, are they square or oblong?

Steps uneven, cracked or lifting

Where are the steps?
How many are affected?
What are they made of: slabs, concrete, brick or stone? Contact us with the details.

Boundary or garden wall loose or crumbling

Where is the wall? See WALLS·CEILINGS.

Clothes post or rotary drier broken or missing

Where is it? Is it in a communal area?
What is the problem? You are responsible for clothes lines, clothes posts and rotary driers unless they are in a designated communal drying area.
What type is it: metal or concrete post, or rotary drier?

Other problems with fences, gates, paths or steps

What is the problem?
Do you know what is causing it? Is it causing any other problems or damage?
