The Council and Police pledge their commitment to reduce Anti-Social Behaviour in Doncaster

I am committed to reducing overall crime and all forms of anti-social behaviour and we have already made some progress in these areas, such as a 7% decrease in reported instances of anti social behaviour.

Doncaster is home to the UK’s only 21-hour a day, 7-day a week team of Police and Council Officers that will be dedicated to tackling anti-social behaviour. The innovative team was launched to national acclaim in August 2011 and I am pleased with progress.  This new scheme will ensure patrol cars will always be available and officers on hand to tackle problems and I’m looking forward to seeing the benefits this will bring.

We are coming down hard on people who cover our streets with litter and issued 2,965 fixed penalty notices in the last year alone.

I am also actively pursuing the introduction of a bylaw to prohibit spitting and foul language on the streets of Doncaster.
