The Adult, Family and Community Learning Service (AFCL) is funded by Doncaster Council, the Learning and Skills Council and a range of regeneration monies, to provide local learning activities for adults and families in their community.
Our Learning Development team works across the borough encouraging all sectors of the community to participate in local learning activities of their choice. The aim is that individuals and groups continue learning and progress onto further learning activities with the AFCL Service or other providers.

We offer an Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) service to all our learners; a service we feel helps people to make important decisions about their future plans. All learners will be encouraged by their tutor to take advantage of our free and impartial IAG service. All learners will be visited at some point during their course to discuss further learning opportunities, this will enable them to consider and explore further options.
The service always tries to respond to learner needs and will support all individuals to access their chosen learning activity. Parents are helped to support their children's education as well as families being encouraged to learn together.
Areas of learning are diverse including Information Technology (IT), Family History, Holiday Spanish, Arts and Crafts, Photography.
We have 3 main areas of learning which are:
All are delivered in your community, perhaps in the local school, community centre, library or village hall and will be delivered by a qualified adult tutor or a specialist with expertise in their field.
