Using the search
Using the Search
This website uses Google, one of the most powerful search tools on the Internet, to help you find what you need.
You can search Doncaster Council’s website by entering information into the search box which is on the top right hand corner on every page. We find that most people use the search facility to look for information on our site.
Choosing the right search terms is the key to finding what you need. Start with the most obvious. Google searches are not case sensitive. There is no need to include 'and' in the search as Google will not search for it. Google also ignores common words, such as 'how' and 'where' so that your search is faster.
Hit the enter key or select press ‘Go’ once you have entered your text.
The results of the search will be displayed as a list of page titles and descriptions, which will help you choose the page most relevant to you.
A-Z index
You can also find information quickly using the A-Z index. The index lists many topics and sections of the website in alphabetical order.
