Many people find the text on the screen difficult to read. One of the reasons for this is may be if you have a high screen resolution set on your computer.
If you have a problem with seeing the text on your screen you may wish to increase the size using the settings in Windows. This will increase the size of everything you see on the screen, the icons, the menus, images etc.
Follow the instructions below for the operating system that you have installed on your computer.
Click the Start button, then Settings and Control Panel. OR using the keyboard press the Windows logo key (you’ll find it between the Ctrl and Alt keys on the bottom left of your keyboard).
If you see the text ‘Pick a category’ as the main title on the page and under the Control Panel title you can see ‘Switch to Classic View’ you should choose this option. Using the keyboard you can do this by pressing the Tab key and then Enter.
This opens up a window with all the options listed for the Control Panel and you need to choose Display and double-click to open it, or press the D key until Display is highlighted and then Enter.
This opens up the Display Properties window. You need to be on the Settings tab so click this or press the arrow key to move to it.
Click and drag the slider underneath the heading ' Screen resolution ' to a lower setting than what is already there, for example - 640 by 480 or 800 by 600. Alternatively, press ' Alt ' + ' S ' to select the screen resolution slider bar and then press the ' left ' or ' right ' arrow keys to change settings. The lower the numbers you choose, the larger the display will be on the screen.
Click ' OK ' or press ' Enter ' to close the dialogue box and see the changes you have made.
