06/09/12 - Help us to find those special people who make Doncaster a great place to live and work!
The Pride in Doncaster Awards is back for 2012!

The awards are run in partnership between Doncaster Council and the Free Press to help recognise exceptional people in Doncaster that have done something really special or given something back to their local community.

Nominations are being accepted for twelve categories through to Friday 21st September 2012 and the top entrants will be invited to attend a glitzy awards ceremony on 25th October at Doncaster Racecourse.

The awards have been designed to recognise people from all walks of life, young and old for a range of different contributions.

The categories are:
  • Fundraiser of the Year

  • Teacher of the Year

  • Inspirational Young Person

  • Mayor's award for Lifetime Achievement

  • Award for Bravery

  • Neighbourhood Superstar

  • Sporting Hero

  • Doncaster Free Press award for Special Achievement in the Community

  • Carer of the Year

  • Service with a Smile

  • Council Worker of the Year

  • Love Where You Live
