| | 25/02/10 - Excellent result for Doncaster’s Home Care Service | Doncaster Council’s quality of in-house Home Care has maintained its three star rating and has been described as continuing to provide an excellent service according to a letter received from the Care Quality Commission (CQC) – the regulatory body for Health and Social Care Services in England.
The news follows a recent self assessment and Social Care Inspection carried out in January 2009 which concluded the council’s Home Care Teams were excellent at delivering outcomes for vulnerable residents and included well trained and informed staff who made a positive difference to people’s lives.
Doncaster Council’s Deputy Mayor Councillor Patricia Schofield, Cabinet Member for Adult Services, said: "To have received such glowing confidence in our in-house Home Care Service that means a further inspection is now not required until at least January 2012 is an outstanding achievement.
"I would like to congratulate all our staff within the Home Care Teams on their hard work, commitment and effort that has contributed towards this exceptional result. Through striving for continual improvement around service delivery and outcomes for people we look forward to retaining our excellent three star rating long into the future."
