Cabinet approve the terms for disposal to the GMI Company Group for the reasons detailed within the report and delegate the Director of Regeneration and Environment in consultation with the Mayor and the Portfolio Holder for Regeneration to approve final negotiations if required.
Members of Cabinet also requested that the Director of Regeneration and Environment worked closely with the Planning Department to make certain that the landscaping in the developed area was of a high quality and that Officers liased with the developer in order to ensure that there was a high standard of restaurant provision in the newly developed area that would be viable and sustainable in the long term.
